Wood

Rift Sawn White Oak is medium-density hardwood with medium to coarse texture and tight, straight grain. It is typically a light to medium brown color with flecks of white, red, and/or grey.

Fuming

Traditional fuming is a process through which wood is greyed via the application of ammonia. We opt instead for a green version of this process, applying Monocoat Fumed instead of ammonia. Monocoat Fumed interacts with the tannins in Oak to turn the surface grey.

Finish

Osmo is a Hardwax-Oil wood finish that is derived from natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is low VOC and food-safe when dry.
